One of our most vivid memories from our trip to Oaxaca ten years ago was how, no matter how nice the weather was in the morning, the skies would open up and we would get a torrential rainfall in mid-afternoon. Now, that was in June, the rainy season, and this trip we knew we were coming in the dry season. In particular, Kay would point out that the average rainfall in Oaxaca in the month of January is zero inches. But February starts the very inklings of the beginning of the wetter seasons, and averages something like a whopping two inches of rain all month.
Now, we have seen sprinkles of rain in the mid-afternoon each of the last two days which did not last long, much like those summer rain showers. I am curious to see how predictable these become in their timing, but I promise not to keep giving daily rain reports.
