Hacer El Trabajo

The other day, K and I took a few minutes while E was at school to visit the Textile Museum here in Oaxaca (http://www.museotextildeoaxaca.org.mx/). It is well worth a trip if you are ever in town, as it is a beautifully restored space filled with some very nice examples of textiles. Oh, and its free so you cant beat the price.

They are currently having a temporary exhibit about stiltwalkers in different cultures -- ranging from small villages in Mexico to Occupy Wall Street protesters -- and the costumes they wear. This is what we were greeted with as we walked into one of the rooms. It was gorgeous and wacky at the same time -- in fact, we expected Tim Gunn to come in from around the corner at any moment.
